📍GILI AIR REVIEW
So first we arrived in Gili Air for one night! It’s so quiet, even in peak season, and you really get to see how locals live on this tiny island (yes, tiny, you can cycle around the whole perimeter in 1 hr 😵) There is no transport (on any of the islands) and many a suitcase wheel has been lost on the uneven surfaces so if I was you, travel with a backpack! (If you came to Bali with a suitcase leave it on mainland with your hostel)
Of course, walk around but head to the beach front bars in time for sunset... this will honestly be one of the prettiest things you have ever seen! The colours were amazing, so don’t be too pre-emptive with your swing pics... hold back and wait for colours like these to appear 😍 And whilst your waiting take advantage of the happy hour drinks on the beach or the ridiculously cheap Balinese massages!
We stayed at Scandinavia Hotel on Gili Air which was in a fab location and they kindly cycled our broken suitcases back to the port for us 😂 - 36 minutes ago
