(Romans 8: 33-34)
God feelings about His children doesn't change just because we fall short. Sometimes people can feel that when they sin, God feelings about them has changed and instead of Him being that happy God who was approachable, He is now angry at heart.
But God's love runs deeper, much deeper than we could ever fathom. He loves His children so deeply that while we were yet sinners, Christ died (Romans 5:8).
Think about it, Jesus said Paul was a chosen vessel unto Him (Acts 9:15), even though He saw Paul persecuting the church, Jesus didn't change His mind and say 'forget Paul, I no longer love him'. He still used him - demonstrating His great love to all of mankind through the use of someone with a background such as the apostle Paul.
Your faults are not greater than God's grace! Your sins are not greater than His mercy and they are no surprise to God. I'm not saying we are free to sin because of grace and mercy because to believe that is to deceive yourself. The Word makes it clear, "How can we who are dead to sin live anymore in it?" (Romans 6:2).
But what I am saying is that if you do sin, go to God and confess your sin, don't walk around in guilt and shame. "If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and He knows everything." (1 John 3:20). God loves you!
Give your life to Christ
Say Lord I confess my sins, and I make You my Lord and Savior.
