Happy no filter Friday friends. ✌🏻 There’s this common trend that people think anyone who is in the health and wellness space have it all together and never stray from the path.
This is my lunch last week. I had about 10 minutes to forage my fridge and throw some cold chickpeas and hummus on top of some veggies.
Did I chew my food completely like I preach? Nope. Did I mindfully eat this in a calm state? Nope.
I do other things too like drink tap water when I’m too lazy to fill up my @berkey_filters , I have coffee sometimes even though I know I’m just compensating from lack of sleep, I have popcorn sometimes for dinner because I don’t want to cook or order out lol.
You get my point? When I’m talking to clients and helping them make healthy swaps,I’m not asking for perfection, I’m asking for consistency.
This meal pictured is me doing my best, picking a healthier choice than popcorn lol and not worrying about it being perfect.
We all have excuses, including me. Majority of the time I will take the extra steps I need to take care of myself because I never want to be burned out and sick again. But I also know that my perfection tendencies were part of the reason why I was so sick.
