Another Big Bend trip is done. It will take a little bit to go through all the shots of course, but I have this shot I have been sitting on since May.
This is the view from FM170 inside of Big Bend Ranch State Park. To the right is Mexico, the left is Texas, separated by the Rio Grande.
This would have been around 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning and it was pitch black. @jtfarleyphotography was awesome enough to stand there while I took a 240” exposure for the foreground as well as a 240” dark frame for noise reduction. Since there is zero ambient light, you must use starlight only for your exposures, and even 4 minutes doesn’t seem like enough.
I can’t wait to share all of the shots, but there will be some that might take a little while since it’s a secret 🤫. Stay tuned! - 12 hours ago
