🍒 We all have cravings, and we all are allowed to step off track once in a while. But does it mean we can allow ourselves to eat whatever we feel like, just because we did the work? We go to the gym every day, so we can fuel with junk food in the evening? Does being active balance out the unhealthy eating habits? Not quite.
As much as I endorse "real-food-eating", and having a snack (even if it's unhealthy), once in a while, there is a fine line between "reasonable" eating, and between rewarding yourself with food for all the hardwork you've done at the gym. And here's why: 🍒 Even if you don't really care about gaining or losing weight, the way your body feels inside is very often different from the way it looks on the outside.
Don't be blinded by good physique, whether is you or someone you admire. Good looking body does not always equal healthy body. Someone might be showing off the six pack, or big biceps, but at the same time might suffer from eating disorder, or nutrient deficiencies. 🍒 If you really want to look good, from the inside out;
- do your health checks on regular basis; - eat less processed food, and plenty of colorful veggies and fruits;
- eat well 80% of the time, leave the 20% for all the "cheat snacks";
- remember that psychology plays super important role in weight loss/gain. If you're stressed, because you can't have your favorite products, you will struggle to lose weight, no matter how perfect your diet is;
- don't reward yourself with food, if you want to have that cookie, eat it, even if you didn't workout; just make sure you have it under control, and you eat the "junk" in moderation, and minority 🍒 ..and if you work your ass off, but eat low quality foods and "cheat" every time you get the chance, please don't blame your trainer, coach/instructor for the lack of progress ;)
