Getting ready for my first workout in Toronto! Had a lovey #girlsnightin yesterday evening with wine, home cooked dinner, and scary movies 😅. It’s literally snowy here so I was glad we were wholesome for my first day here. The logbook 📖 is a must if you’re looking to make the most progress possible, however it must be used properly.
__

Some of the benefits of using the logbook are ◾️Easier to progressively overload when you know exactly what you’ve done.
◾️You can track your progress which is great as you can see how far you’ve come which will help to motivate you to continue to progress.
◾️It keeps you accountable to yourself as you know exactly what weight, sets and reps you did the last workout and your goal should always be to better it or atleast maintain your lifts.
◾️It should give you a goal when you enter the gym to be better than you were the last workout. Setting pb’s and seeing progress is a great feeling and only helps to motivate you even more.

Decided to hit shoulder today. Here was my workout today

Seated Dumbbell Press: 2 warmups and 2 working sets of 10-12

Incline Rear Delt DB Fly: 4 x 10

Seated DB lateral raise: 4 x 10

EZ-Bar Upright Row; barrow grip superset with wide grip: 4 x 10

Smith Machine Overhead Press: 4 x 10

Leaning cable lateral raise (increases ROM): 4 x 10

Standing cable overhead fly superset with reverse cable fly: 4 x 10

Decided to hit shoulder today.
