Then, Hannah and I went for a walk where we saw the neighbors sheep. After our walk we took the babies outside to explore and the geese, having heard the baby ducks decided to make sure they were ok.

A new take on your favorite takeout. ————————————————————————
#Whole30 Sesame Orange Chicken ————————————————————————
1.) Cube two breasts of Chicken and season with Salt and White Pepper
————————————————————————
2.) Sauté 1 tsp of Crushed Ginger and 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes in a medium sauce pan with Sesame Chili Oil, then add 1/8 cup Cider Vinegar, 1/3 cup Coconut Aminos, and 1 cup of fresh Orange Juice — summer on medium heat to reduce by half.

3.) Chop 1 large bunch of Broccoli to remove stalks and blanch for 2-3 minutes in boiling salt water, then strain and place in the refrigerator to stop cooking

4.) Put 1.5 cups of fine Almond Flour in a mixing bowl and season with 1 tsp each of Salt and White Pepper, then add cubed Chicken and toss to coat evenly.

5.) Toast 1 cup of Cashews in a skillet, tossing regularly to prevent burning, then remove from heat and set aside

6.) Put a large skillet on high heat, add a few tablespoons of Sesame Oil and 1.5 tbs of Ghee, then begin placing the breaded Chicken in the pan —- turn pieces over to brown evenly, about 3 minutes per side.

7.) Remove seeds and stem from a Red Bell Pepper, then slice into strips

Easter is almost here. Here’s an easy side dish for your Easter menu. You can bake or grill these. Instructions for both below.

Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus (Paleo, Whole30, Low-Carb)
🔸Ingredients
1 lb  bacon
1 lb asparagus, trimmed 4-inch long tips
1 tsp @flavorgod no salt seasoning
🔹Instructions
Bundle your asparagus how you see fit. I had 32 pieces so I used 8 slices of bacon so there were 4 in each. Gather that number of spears and use a slice of bacon to wrap the bundle and secure the spears together. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Lightly coat asparagus with extra-virgin olive oil & season with @flavorgod no salt seasoning.
🔻Bake
Preheat oven to 400. Place bundles on slotted broiler pan. Bake 12-15 minutes, broiling the last few minutes until crisp.
🔻Grill
Place bundles on hot grill and cover. Cook 10 to 12 minutes until bacon is crisp and vegetables are tender.

spring is back and so is the OG cashew dressing of ‘17. I haven’t been on social media much; I’m trying to figure out the uncertainties of this time just as all of you are. but, I might as well spend these days doing what I love best, and what I’m fortunate and privileged enough to be doing through all of us — cooking. I have the fondest memories of this simple dressing: spending time with my sweet mama after I moved to kc after school (still one of her favorite things that I make), soaking up the balcony days of living downtown then, and (most likely) sipping on rosé. I hope it brings you a little sunshine, too.

cashew salad dressing
1 cup raw cashews, soaked in hot water for 30 minutes or in cold water overnight
2 lemons, zested and juiced
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp stone ground pepper

I hope it brings you a little sunshine, too. cashew salad dressing 1 cup raw cashews, soaked in hot water for 30 minutes or in cold water overnight 2 lemons, zested and juiced 2 cloves garlic 1/2 tsp sea salt 1/4 tsp stone ground pepper distilled water, start with 1/4 cup and add as needed blend, adding water as needed to obtain desired consistency, & enjoy! - 12 minutes ago
