I identify myself as a graphic artist rather than an illustrator. I am inspired by graphic design, flat design, and contemporary arts and architecture. I found my inspiration in pop art, afro-pop, Afrofuturism, soul music, afrobeat, and many other movements, genre, and styles. One thing I know for sure is that I like pop culture.
Painting is a special moment for me, I can think slow and take a break from my screens. I listen to podcasts and just get in a zone where I can reconnect with my body. I can move and each of my movements matters for the construction of the visual. I am in charge, not the machine. It's complex because I like technologies but I also like to reconnect with myself.
Drawing with my hands is and will always be where my creativity starts to be shaped. - 11 hours ago
