January 1, I weighed just about 230LBs. Started to get after it, things were going well. By March I was down to about 215. Then the pandemic came and the gyms got shut down. THEN on April 4th, I woke up with a fever and severe headache and body aches. On April 6th I took my test for COVID and by the end of the day on the 7th, my positive test results came back. I fought it!!! However I could I just fought it. Zero energy, body beat to sh!t, fevers for days... I would still make it a point to NOT lay in bed, I walked around my house. I jogged in place, I did jumping jacks, I wore layers of clothes. I literally drank almost 3 gallons of water daily. I fought! On April 26th I started @iamhennessyfitness 5K challenge. I weighed in at 218lbs. Today was final day of the challenge and 30 days later, I weighed in at 197. Shoutout to @iamhennessyfitness IG live home workouts. Big, BIG shoutout to the @house_of_sweat_llc for helping me take it to the max during these restrictions. 1 - Oblique focused v-sit w/ leg lift and ball toss. This is just your ordinary v-sit but if you notice I only have one butt cheek on the floor forcing balance and my obliques to work harder each time you toss the ball under. It also works on hand-eye coordination greatly because your legs block the view of the ball when it leaves your hand making you have to be quick to catch it.

2 - Sprinters crunch. I got this one from @protein.papi_ . I saw him do it and thought, that looks fun.. I have to try it! It’s great for core control, knee drive and even arm speed!

I got stopped in Target today receiving compliments on my arms. I’ve been sorta down in the dumps lately..... Rotator tendinitis sucks. And though I’ve actually been feeling OKAY lately, *knock on wood* — I’m still a huge extrovert.

I’m so over being cooped up.
I’m ready to be back in the gym.
I miss gatherings. I miss restaurants.

THANK GOD for my peloton and ketones... But this has been super hard for me mentally.

When this individual complimented me they said “Girl OMG! Be so proud of that because THAT takes dedication.” And went on and on complimenting me and how sweet I was, etc.... like this person didn’t know me 😂😭 I honestly could’ve cried.

But I want to share with you all that even I struggle. I’m human too!

Some days I don’t want to work out.
Some days I don’t want to get out of my pajamas.
Some days I don’t even want to people (I know crazy right ?) But guess what?
I do it anyway! 🙌🏼
I won’t EVER quit!! My point is — you never know whose life you may be impacting. Sometimes we need a reminder to keep going. Sometimes we need some loving ourselves. Sometimes we need a reminder that things are going to be okay.

While I try and be the light for so many daily.... I don’t always pay attention to my own light beginning to dim.

Today a complete stranger was my light. And I hope they know how grateful I am!

Oh hello, hi, hey..I’m back..after 2 weeks of laziness lolz..mostly because of pre “that time of the month” but heyooo here i am again..sweaty and out of breath. 
Today’s workouts are :
1. Squats oblique crunch
2. Side lunge pulses
3. Renegade rows (body weight)
4. Alt. Glute bridges
5. Superman pulldown
6. Crab toe touches 
7. Shoulder taps side knee tucks
40 seconds exercise 20 seconds off or if it is too heavy try 15-20 reps for each exercise..enjoy!!

feeling GOOD about my workout today! (Peep my cat taking a lil nap) You don’t need a ton of fancy stuff to get some movement in (although I miss the gym SO MUCH UGH). I used a resistance band for my legs, small dumbbells to do arms and some squats. I mostly use the kettlebell for squats and stuff, though. Workout got cut short today because of FOOD YUM (pics to come soon 😋)
If you’re looking for motivation to get up and move, don’t look at your body. You shouldn’t workout because you are unhappy with your body. You should workout to show your body some love!!
