Just want to say my @foxandrobin shorts were everything I imagined and more.⁣

Got recommended to try these shorts out and they passed a leg day test. The built in compression shorts were silky smooth and weren’t too restrictive during squats.⁣

Ok, who miss the gym 🙋🏼‍♀️ and who is loving home workouts?

Alright.

So there are 2 messages floating around social media about how you "should" spend your time.

1. You "should" be making the most out of this time.
- have a schedule
- work on your habits
- learn something

2. You "should" take this time to just be, reflect and enjoy the downtime.
- unstructured time
- more sleep
- more flexibility
.
This is what trips people up. Relying on what others tell you "should". Neither one is right or wrong. They are opinions. We all have them.

With my clients, here is what I am noticing with what they are going through
.
➡ some feel vulnerable & are opening up about shit that scares them
.
➡️ some dealing with bouts of depression/anxiety
.
➡️ the slowing down for some is needed & the slowing down has shown some that they actually need more structure and routine (e.g depression) in their life
.
➡️ that health really is so important and way more about reps, fatloss and what the scale says
.
➡️ some are dealing with not being able to control everything & having catastrophizing thoughts
.
➡️ they are learning more about their strengths & weaknesses
.
➡️ learning how to ask for help and not do everything themselves
.
➡️building/reparing relationships w/  friends & family.

If you feel guilty for not doing more or needing to slow down, feel like you're falling behind, trying to people please, pretending you have it together, etc., check in yourself.

Ask: WHY? Why am I holding onto this expectation? What's the pay off I get if it makes me feel like 💩?

Drop the guilt trip on yourself bc some" guru" said you "should" be doing ABC.

Guilt is a viscous cycle that invites anger, grief & resentment into your life.

What are my 1:1 clients doing?

What's right for them.

Why?

Bc a lot of us need to build that self trust again.

I've received endless messages from them about how doing mindset coaching & use of cognitive behaviour therapy techniques has been a game changer.

Without it they would have quit. But now  know how to change how they think, can cope better & ultimately feel in control of their lives.

Although this Easter long weekend isn’t what most of us had planned, I just feel so grateful to actually be able to spend it with my husband. Before I lost my job, I worked weekends so we rarely got to spend quality time together. But now we have 4 days off to play board games, make puzzles and annoy the shit out of each other 😂🙈 So for that, I am grateful! What are you grateful for over this Easter weekend? 💕

I know these times are stressful. You’re hours are cut. You’re not getting paid what your use to getting paid. Money’s tight. Trust. I’m going through the same hardships. ⁣

But I can tell you one thing...not as a Rad Tech. As a mom. ⁣
⁣
This time is get with these boys is rare. ⁣
⁣
For their entire lives...I have rarely made them dinner more than one time a week. This week I’ve made dinner 3 times. That’s a big deal. ⁣
⁣
They get to see their mom more than 4 hours a week. ⁣
⁣
I get to hear I love you’s way more in person than over FaceTime.⁣
⁣
To all those moms who have lost time with their kids over the years because of their jobs, life, certain circumstances. This is for you. ⁣
⁣
What if I let them stay up way past their bedtime or let’s them sleep in til noon. Eat candy anytime they want. Don’t keep a strict “school schedule”. ⁣
⁣
What if I get yo hug them more...kiss them more...tell them I love them more....⁣
⁣
In person. ⁣
⁣
So no matter the hard times right now...enjoy that time. Because I can tell you from this healthcare worker/mom. That is the times they will remember.

🤘Deficit pull ups: do some full pull ups if you are able to💪 or try these for building up the strength for them! (4x6)
🤟Pistol squat to shrimp squat: go as low as you can and keep your balance. It is important you pay attention when doing this movement since your knee is going over your toe🦶(4x8)
✌️✌️Seated alt snatches: sitting isolates the upper body and works your core from having to stay upright! (4x12)
🖐Wide to narrow squats: use your glutes to push the movement upwards💃(4x10)
✋☝️Row to deadlift: engage the lats through the movement and use your glutes on the extension up! (4x10)
✋🤞Standing rotational lift: engage the core, lats, shoulders and triceps and pause at the top extension🥵 (3x10ea)
✋🤟Pike shoulder tap to push up: accurately demonstrates my lack of both flexibility and arm strength🙊 So if you’re feeling strong try the first movement or if you’re not quite there yet go for the second🤪 (4x8)
✋✌️✌️Single arm front rack thrusters: use your glutes driving up💥 and moving the weight onto your shoulder for the extension! (4x10)
