Approved by the Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH) and adhering to the guidelines of the CDC, the YMCA of Honolulu is offering child care services for essential workers at three of their YMCA Branches: Leeward, Nu’uanu and the Windward YMCA, beginning Monday, March 30, 2020. Child Care for Essential Workers will be available Monday through Friday, 6:30 am – 7:30 pm. Online registration is at www.ymcahonolulu.org.
The YMCA will be operating the program under the strict guidelines of the DOH. All children and staff will be screened each day before entering the program and not allowed into the program if they have traveled off-island within the past 14 days; or been in contact with someone under investigation for, or with a confirmed case of COVID-19, or have a fever of 100.4 F+ and/or has cold or flu symptoms.
Program fees are $55 per day or $275 per week and include two daily snacks. An optional lunch and/or dinner may be added for $5.50 per meal. Financial assistance is available based on need and available funds. - 3 hours ago
