How are you doing?
Is the isolation driving you mad, or are you doing just fine?
For those working from home, how is it going?
Working from home is not something unusual for me, but I know for many of you it is probably the first time. You are probably trying to find some balance or feel like you have already gone over the edge and cannot see away back.
Don’t worry, here are some really helpful tips to get some order back into your life! Remember this is temporary and things will change again once everything starts to settle down.
1] If possible, choose a spot in the house with some natural light. Next to a window or good lighting.
2] Start a fresh. Imagine you are just moving in! Clean the area and make it feel really clean & fresh. You will feel so good when you have done it!
3] Arrange your furniture!
Desk job - Table and chair in the correct position. If you work on a computer 💻 (which most of us do) make sure the screen, keyboard and mouse is in the right place for comfort. There are guidelines if you search on Google "how to position my screen and chair" to help you set up your desk. Make sure the lighting is good to, so when you start working you don't have to change positions again and again.
4] Files & Accessories
We all need something; pens, note book, files, photos, plants or simple small things to make your desk feel like your space. It's important to try and organise them so they are user friendly with the space you are creating.
5] Treat this as if you would with your office work place. Try and set yourself a start and finish time. Take regular breaks, tea, water & lunch breaks. I have been teaching some corporate yoga & movement classes to help companies look after their staff whilst they are working from home. Hope this helped.
