For me, cooking has to be simple and the food should taste good. This cookbook accomplishes both of these tasks beautifully. My favourite recipes are the ones I can batch cook when I have a couple hours during the week, and I freeze individual portions to have on the days when I donโ€™t have as much time. โฃ

Just a couple of days left to finish my 8th 200 hour training. It is always so exciting to see my students mature in their practices, yet I have a hard time saying goodbye. Iโ€™m forever grateful that each has given me a wonderful opportunity to learn from them.

Yoganidrasana - this Yogic Sleep Pose may look uncomfortable, but the intention is supposedly to let you reach a state of deep relaxation. 
Inner lightness of the brain cells is the goal of this pose.

Yoga Sleep Pose, or Yoganidrasana, triggers a state of pratyahara - withdrawal of the senses which helps you to reach inner peace and shake off the day-to-day stress in your life. This pose also helps to stretch deep muscles on your back and spine, as well as to ease the tension on the neck. 
This pose requires flexibility in your hips and hamstrings, so work on hip opening and hamstring stretches, and work your way up to this complicated pose.

This past weekend I spent 15 hours learning about Advanced Seated poses with @staceybrassrussell and I learnt so much that I need to review all my notes at least twice to remember everything! 
It has been an amazing experience because we havenโ€™t only talked about asanas and alignment but also yoga philosophy. It was brought up with such enthusiasm and knowledge that I am eager to learn more about it and integrate it in my practice and my classes.

This weekend I worked in asanas that I love so much such Marichyasana and Janu Sirsasana but I had also to deal with one of my hardest one: Lotus. Never before I have been able to get close to the full expression of this asana until today. Not the perfect one yet but it is my first one and it feels like a big accomplishment!

Module 1 of this 300hrs of Yoga Teacher Training is done. So much learned and so much to learn at @hudsonyogaproject!

Now, I feel I am ready for the winter break.

SAVE DIS WORKOUT FOR MONDAY MORNING ๐Ÿฅณ hey whatโ€™s up hello friends, happy Sunday! Sharing a workout I did prior to getting sick that was so simple but totally kicked my butt! Iโ€™ll be repeating it this week ๐Ÿ˜… .

EMOM - every minute on the minute. Complete first ex during a 1 minute timer. Leftover time = rest time. Start next ex on next minute! .
1๏ธโƒฃ elevated squat to RDL x 8 each (can do on floor if needed!) .

2๏ธโƒฃ hop to lunge x 8 per side .
3๏ธโƒฃ single arm squat to press (engage your core to stabilize your squat) x 8 per side .

4๏ธโƒฃ lateral raises x 15 .

5๏ธโƒฃ dead bugs x 30 (if these feel easy, youโ€™re doing them wrong. keep your back glued to the floor) .

6๏ธโƒฃ 3 jump squats to burpee x 10 . ๐Ÿ” I did this 6 x through! Such a great minimal equipment core, leg, and shoulder sweat! .

I won't tell you how many pictures I made Josh take of me until I found one that felt "acceptable". How many rolls are showing? How big does my stomach look? Will they think my thighs look MASSIVE in this printed look? What about my arms? Any cellulite anywhere? Stop. Stop that shit. I love this set from @wolventhreads that I finally bought for myself after playing the "wait until you lose weight to buy it so you can get a smaller size and look better" game forever. The outfit is beautiful and I feel like ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ in it. Crop top and all.

Tonight was a dream come true. I got to collaborate with my sweet sister @valbrown to bring a Sound Immersion to @earthtreksgolden. 
She soothed us with the healing vibrations of singing bowls, gongs, and chimes. The immense amount of relaxation in the room was palpable. 
This year, I made it a goal to show up more fully as a yoga teacher. To offer chanting, sacred texts, kundalini, breathwork, myth, and sound to a climbing gym. And I'm so grateful for all of you who came along for the ride. 
There will definitely be more to come in the New Year! We're hoping to get another Sound Immersion on the calendar asap and I'm already planning a mountain meditation retreat, spring equinox celebration, and kirtan concert.
