Bringing you closer to the people and things you love. ❤️

Natalie Glaze and Zanna van Dijk met because of Instagram. Today, they’re the #founders of Stay Wild Swim (@staywildswim), a sustainable swimwear brand designed and stitched in London.
💕

The pair’s deep connection to sustainability and the ocean inspired them to start the company together. But neither had a formal background in fashion. “For us, there was so much bliss in the naiveté of just beginning our business,” explains Zanna. “We started out not really knowing what we were getting ourselves into and gave it a go — and the next thing you know, we’re in up to our necks.” 🌊✨ In our limited series #founders, we’re sharing the stories of amazing small business owners from all over the world. A new episode will be available every Saturday until Christmas. To see even more #founders stories, check out @instagramforbusiness

Victoria Garrick (@victoriagarrick) is no stranger to finding balance in the face of pressure. As a public speaker, content creator and former student athlete, she speaks openly about the real pressures of social comparison. “The pressure to be perfect stems from a societal belief that perfection is the only way to be good enough,” says Victoria. “I tried to attain these unrealistic standards of beauty, get straight As in school, become a star athlete and constantly seem happy. I was so consumed with portraying a perfect image and pretty Instagram aesthetic that I lost sight of what it meant to be me,” she says. “When I finally realized I was living for likes and validation from others online, I wanted to find a way to get back to being real and authentic.”⁣

Artist Mischelle Moy’s (@lilmisch) digital compositions = portals to another dimension. “I’ve always been drawn to the odd and otherworldly, whether archaeological findings or discoveries of life on other planets,” she says. “These ‘plant holders’ are very special to me, because they combine both a paradisal sunset vibe with an extraterrestrial sense of existence that is illustrated (mostly separately) throughout my work.” #ThisWeekOnInstagram⁣

Manu Torres’ (@uunnaamm) hyper-realistic floral art mixes the artificial and the natural, incorporating paper, fabric, paint and feathers to imitate and exaggerate nature’s beauty. “My arrangements consist of mostly real, perishable flora and greens,” he says. “At this point, anything that gets my attention will make a cameo in one of my arrangements.” #ThisWeekOnInstagram⁣
