"Forest of Eden" - It had been raining for a couple of days in the Mountains of Western North Carolina and the waterfalls and streams were running at high capacity. I love shooting the forests and streams in the rain because it keeps the rocks wet and the Fall foliage just seems to pop. This was my last image of the morning before the drizzle turned into a downpour and when that happens, it becomes increasingly more difficult to keep water drops off of the lens and my gear dry. I set up my tripod low to the ground and decided on the Singh-Ray Waterfall Polarizer to slow the shutter and provide polarization to reduce reflections on the rocks and in the water. Though this is not some grand waterfall, I like the simplicity of the scene and the peacefulness of the image itself. This was probably my favorite image of the day and looking at the image now, I feel as though I can just step into the scene. Photo courtesy of Kevin Reaves
